In 2022, the piloting of shared accommodation will expand and continue in the Finnish Defence Forces to include all brigade-level units providing training to persons liable for military service excluding the FAF air commands, and also to include the North Karelia Border Guard District of the Finnish Border Guard.

As of early 2022, the piloting will include all brigade-level units providing training to persons liable for military service excluding the FAF air commands. The objective is to get information on the effectiveness of shared accommodation in brigade-level units of varying strength across Finland.

The 2nd Logistics Regiment supports the administrative units of the Defence Forces and the Border Guard in the organisation of logistics and support in all states of readiness. As for its special features, the Regiment conducts maintenance tasks related to the Navy’s special materiel and services involving clothing, tents and field accommodation, field provisioning and medical materiel in the Defence Forces.
