4.2.2026 | The military oath and affirmation ceremonies of contingent 1/26 will take place in Sodankylä and Rovaniemi garrisons on Saturday, 14 February 2026.

11.2.2026 | The conscripts who started military training in January 2026 will swear the military oath or make the military affirmation in mid-February. During the ceremony, the conscripts will be appointed to the crew service rank, after which they will proceed to their training branch phase.

31.7.2024 | Recruits who started their military service in the 2/24 contingent will swear the military oath or give the affirmation in mid-August. Oath and affirmation ceremonies mark the end of the six-week basic training phase.

30.6.2025 | New recruits will begin their military service in Finnish Defence Forces and Border Guard units on Monday, 7 July. Approximately 12,500 recruits will start their service in contingent 2/25.
