27.5.2026 | The fourth annual NATO Senior Leader Seminar (SLS) took place in Brussels from 14–16 April 2026, bringing together senior military and civilian leaders from across the Alliance. Building on the foundations laid in previous years, the seminar focused on adapting NATO’s Comprehensive Approach (CA) and Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) to the evolving security landscape, with particular emphasis on the challenges posed by developments in Europe and the Middle East.

6.11.2025 | Allied Joint Publication (AJP)-01, Allied Joint Doctrine is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) capstone doctrine for Allied joint operations and activities. Finland has now published AJP-01 FI with Finnish National Elements. The doctrine is meant especially for regular personnel of the Finnish Defence Forces and for reservists and conscripts, but the document is public and available from the Finnish Defence Forces website.

The Logistics Command works with domestic and foreign cooperation partners on a regular basis in order to carry out its task to ensure the efficient use of the Defence Forces’ capabilities and execution of operations in all circumstances.

12.5.2026 | The NATO defence alliance's joint operational doctrine working meeting will be held for the first time in Helsinki from 12 to 14 May 2026. The purpose is to enhance interoperability among NATO member countries by standardising common doctrines and the associated terminology. All 32 NATO member countries, parts of NATO's command organisation, and representatives from NATO's Centres of Excellence have been invited to the event.
