The 2nd Logistics Regiment supports the administrative units of the Defence Forces and the Border Guard in the organisation of logistics and support in all states of readiness. As for its special features, the Regiment conducts maintenance tasks related to the Navy’s special materiel and services involving clothing, tents and field accommodation, field provisioning and medical materiel in the Defence Forces.

22.8.2024 | The Guard Jaeger Regiment will lead the Kehä 24 local defence exercise in the Helsinki metropolitan area and the region of Uusimaa from 31 August to 6 September 2024. The exercise will focus on local defence and cooperation with other authorities.

31.10.2023 | The army's mechanized exercise Hammer 23 has begun with the main forces moving to Pohjankangas between Sunday and Monday. The co-operation between practicing troops will be the key element in the combat phase which begins on Wednesday 1st of November. The exercise starts by unit’s independent training phase where each unit practices independently for the last time before the combat phase begins. It’s important to practice every last detail in this phase so every unit is in its full potential.

15.2.2024 | The Guard Jaeger Regiment -led local defence exercise Kehä 24, the first one this year, will be held during 3.–8.3.2024 in Eastern Uusimaa. The strength of the training audience will be up to c. 1,000 personnel comprising conscripts, reservists, and service personnel.
