Four Archer class P2000 patrol boats of the British Royal Navy trained together with the Finnish Navy in the Gulf of Finland last weekend.
The exercise involved the Maritime operations Centre and missile boat PGG Hamina, which, together with the British vessels, trained creation of recognised maritime picture and monitoring and safeguarding critical infrastructure. The vessels berthed in Helsinki during the weekend.
This cooperation is part of the TARASSIS series of live activities undertaken by the JEF. The activities are conducted across the North Atlantic, Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea region. The series of military activities demonstrate the ability of the JEF to act collectively and project power in response to a threat to regional security.
TARASSIS is a multinational and multi-domain undertaking, incorporating activities in the land, sea, air, space and cyber domains.
