The readiness unit’s exercise RYSKE will be organised in Ivalo and the area of Tsarmitunturi fell on 4-11 February 2026.
Participants of RYSKE, organised twice a year, include conscripts and personnel, and one of the goals is to determine the capability of the readiness unit at the beginning of the readiness phase. The February exercise involves a combat phase and training in winter conditions. The exercise will be led by the Commander of the Lapland Jaeger Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Juha Hollanti.
The exercise will be conducted around the area of Anninkatu in Ivalo and in the Tsarmitunturi Fell area. Blank ammunition used in the exercise will cause noise near the training locations.
