The USA will conduct a confidence and security building inspection visit conform to the OSCE 2011 Vienna Document in Finland from 22–25 November 2016.
The area to be evaluated includes the Jaeger Brigade, Lapland Air Command and Rovajärvi exercise area. The MVH16 Army Combined Fires Exercise is being conducted in the exercise area.
The inspection team from the USA will consist of four persons and be led by Major Michael Comstock. Finland's three-person liaison officer team will be led by Major Pasi Veikkolainen.
The aim of the evaluation is to establish that there are no such ongoing military activities in the evaluation area that according to the Vienna Document should have been made prior notification of.
