Finland will conduct a confidence- and security-building evaluation and inspection conform to the Vienna Document 2011 in Serbia between 18-22 February 2019.
The evaluation and inspection team consists of three Finnish officers and one Hungarian officer. The evaluation and inspection team is led by Major Timo Rintanen from Army Command Finland.

The area selected for inspection is located in southern Serbia.
The aim of the evaluation is to establish that there are no such ongoing military activities in the area designated for evaluation that according to the Vienna Document should have been made prior notification of. The inspections are part of routine arms control. Similar inspections are carried out in Finland every year. Reciprocally, Finland takes part in inspections in other participating OSCE states.
