25.11.2025 | The Kainuu Brigade's Northern Axe 25 combat exercise will be conducted in the Kainuu region from November 29 to December 5, 2025.

16.4.2026 | All brigade-level units of the Army will rehearse joint operating with allied countries’ contingents in the course of May. Several exercises executed simultaneously are aimed at strengthening the Army’s defence capability across Finland, conscripts’ know-how and joint operating with Allies. During the spring, a total of approximately 19,000 allied soldiers from Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, France, United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Hungary and Poland will take part in the exercises.

14.11.2024 | The Guard Battalion, a sub-unit of the Guard Jaeger Regiment, will organize the combat exercise Uusimaa 24 in the areas of Porvoo, Sipoo, Tuusula and Helsinki on 20-26 November 2024. The exercise will be led by Commander of the Guard Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Jouni Suokas.

2.5.2023 | The Utti Jaeger Regiment will command the exercise Southern Griffin 23 in Southern Finland during 10 – 21 May 2023. The total strength of the exercise will be up to c. 1,150 personnel. 

11.11.2022 | Guard Jaeger Regiment is exercising with other authorities in capital area and Uusimaa region on 14.-18.11.2022. The exercise is part of the Guard Jaeger Regiment's yearly training plan.

17.6.2022 | In the Guard Jaeger Regiment, the Army complementary international exercise and training activity will start on 20 June 2022. A training audience force involving a US Light infantry Company with the strength of circa 100 troops will arrive at Santahamina to exercise with the Readiness Unit and 2. Military Police Company. The exercise and training activity cooperation will be participated by both conscripts and service personnel.

7.4.2022 | The Guard Jaeger Regiment’s 1. and 2. Jaeger Company, Headquarters and Signal Company as well as 2. Military Police Company will undertake training in the capital area region from 9 to 15 April 2022. The exercise areas will include Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Tuusula, and the area in the vicinity of the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

26.8.2022 | 2. Jaeger Company and 2. Military Police Company will exercise in Helsinki (Östersundom, Korsnäs, Oulunkylä, Kumpula and Jätkäsaari) on 29.8.-1.9.2022. The exercising will involve using drill ammunition inside the exercise buildings.

9.8.2022 | During the night of 9 to 10 August, the Guard Jaeger Regiment and National Defence University will exercise together with the Helsinki Police Department and City of Helsinki in areas of Helsinki city centre and Meilahti. At 21:00-03:00, traffic may occasionally and locally be affected by exercise activity. Traffic guidance will be provided on exercise sites.

26.9.2022 | The Guard Jaeger Regiment’s 1st Military Police Company will undertake training in an exercise organised in the areas of Malminkartano and Lauttasaari from 27 to 28 September and from 4 to 5 October 2022.
