As a representative of the lead nation, the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command has signed a contract in 25.6. with the Finnish company Forcit, on procuring the Blocker Influence Mine for the participating countries. So far Finland, Germany, Denmark, Lithuania and Norway have joined the project.

29.6.2026 | The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki attended the RUSI Land Warfare Conference 2026 (LWC) held in London, and visited the Headquarters of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) in Gloucester. 21.5.2026 | The second Pohjanmaa-class multi-role corvette to be built for the Navy has been launched in Rauma. The vessel was moved from the construction hall to the dock basin where the building and outfitting of the vessel will continue. A festive launch ceremony was celebrated in Rauma on 21 May.

28.3.2026 | Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki was on a working visit to Ukraine last week. The visit focused on the areas of Kiev, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia. During the visit, Lieutenant General Välimäki met leadership of the Ukrainian Army, and took note of the operating of the land forces as well as command echelons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and new capabilities. Additionally, the visit provided the opportunity to familiarise with defence industry in Ukraine.
