The Coastal Fleet includes the whole selection of the Finnish Navy’s ships.The Coastal Fleet protects the territorial integrity of the Finnish sea and trains war time units and personnel for the Finnish Navy. Coastal Fleet consists of Headquarters and four squadrons: 4th Mine Countermeasures Squadron, 6th and 7th Surface Warfare Squadrons and 8th Service Support Squadron. 16.1.2025 | Captain (N) Sauli Rimmanen will assume the duties of Commander of the Coastal Fleet on 1 February 2025. Rimmanen will transfer to the task from Navy Command Finland where he has been serving as Chief of Staff.
