Noise information

Finnish Defence Forces will be exercising aviation operations in Lohtaja firing range May 29th 2026 – June 16th 2026. The aviation operations will cause noise daily between 06:00 and 24:00.

The exercise causes noise daily between 06:00 and 24:00. The firing range will be cordoned May 29th 16:00 - June 14th 12:00 hrs. Tuesday June 9th 2026 from 06:00-18:00, a blasting exercise will be conducted. Aviation operations pose a danger to life for outsiders, particularly from June 9th to 11th, 2026, due to falling projectiles. The life-threatening activity will take place between 04:00 and 18:00 on June 9th, and daily between 08:00 and 18:00 from June 10th to 11th. Life-threatening area June 9–11th, 2026, is Hakunti in the south, from where 10 km to the west, from where 9 km to the north, from where 10 km to the east, ending at the Defence Forces training area. Because of eye safety, it is prohibited to observe any aircrafts involved in this exercise with binoculars or other optical magnifying devices.
