France celebrates its national day on 14 July and will organise a military parade on the Champs-Elysées. The theme of the parade is the strategic awakening of Europe.
The Finnish Defence Forces will send a swallow-tailed state flag, Colour Guard and Colour Party of 12 soldiers consisting of conscripts and regular personnel to the parade. The Finnish detachment is from the Guard Jaeger Regiment. Previously, the Finnish Defence Forces participated in the parade in 2025 and 2019. The president of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, will also attend the event.
The Bastille Day parade organised on the National Day of France is one of Europe’s most prominent military events. The parade will consist of approximately 6,700 people, 300 vehicles, 90 airplanes, 32 helicopters and 190 horses. The president of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, will preside over the parade for the last time as president.
