Finland will conduct confidence and security building evaluation visit conform to the OSCE 2011 Vienna Document in Lithuania 20-23 June 2016.
Finland's 4-person evaluation team is led by Lieutenant Colonel Marko Korpela from Defence Command Finland.
The purpose of the visit is to evaluate whether the information announced previously in 2016 is correct. The visit will take place in the Motorized Infantry Brigade in Klaipeda.
The aim of the evaluation is to establish that there are no such ongoing military activities in the area designated for evaluation that according to the Vienna Document should have been made prior notification of.
