The Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces, General Timo Kivinen will take part in the meeting of the Nordic chiefs of defence (NORDEFCO MCC) in Stockholm on 7 February 2024.
General Kivinen will be accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff Strategy, Lieutenant General Janne Jaakkola. Lieutenant General Jaakkola will also serve as the deputy of the Finnish Chief of Defence after the NORDEFCO meeting in the meeting of the chiefs of defence of the Nordic and Baltic countries (NB8) to be held in Stockholm on 8 February.
Both meetings will be hosted by General Flemming Lentfer, Chief of Defence of Denmark, which holds the chairmanship of NORDEFCO in 2024, and Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces, Micael Bydén.
