USS Bainbridge visits Helsinki

Finland is honored to receive an Ally for a port visit. United States Navy’s Aegis guided-missile destroyer, USS Bainbridge, will moor at Hernesaari port in Helsinki on Sept 14 2025. The vessel will not be open to the public during this routine call.

Arleigh Burke-class USS Bainbridge is 155 meters long and 18 meters wide. She is specialized in air defense, anti-surface warfare and anti-submarine warfare. She can house a crew complement of 330 and her homeport is in Norfolk, Virginia. 

The visit will be hosted by the Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) of the Finnish Navy Command, Captain (N) Marko Laaksonen.
