The Defence Forces provides opportunities to work among civilian or military professionals all across Finland. Military service is not a requirement for civilian jobs. A person appointed to a post within the Defence Forces must be a Finnish citizen and fulfil the eligibility requirements for a government post. The working language in the Defence Forces is Finnish.
