General Kivinen to the United States

The commander of the Finnish Defence Forces, General Timo Kivinen is visiting the United States on February 23-27.

During the visit, General Kivinen participates in several top-level meetings in Washington and meets, among others, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark A. Milley. The travel program also includes visits to NATO staffs in Norfolk as well as to the United States Central Command in Tampa.

The commander of the Finnish Defence Forces is accompanied by the Chief of the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command, Major General Engineering Kari Renko, Finland's Defence Attaché to the United States, Colonel Petteri Seppälä and Deputy Defence Attaché, Commander Jussi Jämsén, as well as Aide-de-Camp to Chief of Defence, major Annukka Ylivaara.
