General Kivinen visits France
The Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces, General Timo Kivinen makes an official visit to France March 2 - 3. The host of the visit is France's Chief of Defense, General François Lecointre.
During the visit, General Kivinen becomes acquainted with France's defense and meets its highest military leadership. During the visit, the commanders discuss defence cooperation within the European Union as well as bilateral defence cooperation. The commander of the Armed Forces is followed by the Army's Chief of Operations, Brigadier General Rami Saari, Finland's Defence Attaché in France, Colonel Teemu Nurmela and the Special Assistant to the Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Mikael Salo.
