The concert tour March to Seven Wonders entertains in seven locations
The Finnish Defence Forces' concert tour March to Seven Wonders starts on 22 August in Rauma. The tour takes place in August-September at seven locations around Finland.
The musical adventure of more than 300 musicians combines figure marching, the bands and a musical world into an impressive family experience. During the two-hour performance, the viewer is introduced to an exciting video game world set on the Seven Wonders of Antiquity.
March to Seven Wonders is an adventure in the classic structure of the games, where figure marches and bands are used to complete different levels: some as guardians of riddles, others as labyrinthine elements. The stage in the performance is the size of an ice arena and the impressive graphics of the game world are created on ten large screens. The ensemble is complemented by music composed for the performance.
The main roles are played by Kaisa Leppänen and Tuuli Paju. The screenplay is written by Samuel Harjanne, Jack Johansson and Petrus Kähkönen and directed by Harjanne and Kähkönen. The participating bands are the Guards Band, the Navy Band, the Dragoon Band, the Lapland Military Band, the Defence Forces Conscription Band and the Air Force Big Band, as well as the youth orchestras Rauma Boys Band and the Kotka and Hamina Youth Orchestra. Local youth orchestras also perform in the opening number.
