Finnish CHOD to the NATO Military Committee meeting in Belgium
The Commander of the Defense Forces, General Timo Kivinen, participates in the NATO Military Committee Defense Chief's meeting, in the part of the meeting intended for the companion countries on January 14. The meeting takes place in accordance with the annual plan.
The highest military leadership for NATO’s membership and companion countries attends the meeting. In the meeting's part intended for the companion countries, deals with NATO crisis management operations. During the trip, General Kivinen also visits the EU military staff.
From the Defense Forces, the Military Representative in the European Union and NATO in Brussels, Rear Admiral Juha Vauhkonen, experts from the representation as well as the Aide-de-Camp to Chief of Defence, Major Annukka Ylivaara, will attend the meetings.
