Defence Command Finland

The Defence Command leads the Finnish Defence Forces. The Defence Command is the joint command headquarters of the commander of the Finnish Defence Forces. It leads the execution of the Finnish Defence Forces' statutory tasks.

The Defence Command defines the capability requirements of its subordinate establishments, the services and the National Defence University. The Defence Command allocates the resources needed to achieve the goals of the FDF.

The Defence Command has ten divisions, an internal audit unit and an executive office. The Defence Command leads its five subordinate establishments. The command itself is a central government agency subordinate to the Ministry of Defence and it is an expert organisation.
