Multinational evaluation visit in Karelia Air Command
A multinational evaluation team led by the Netherlands will conduct a confidence and security building evaluation visit conform to the Vienna Document 2011 in the Karelia Air Command on 14 March 2018.
The evaluation team has two representatives from the Netherlands and one from Luxembourg. The team will be led by Lieutenant Colonel Franciscus van de Mortel. The team members have diplomatic status.
The purpose of the visit is to evaluate whether the information on Karelia Air Command in Finland's 2011 exchange of military information corresponds to the information that will be given to them during the evaluation visit.
The visit will be hosted by the Commander of Karelia Air Command, Colonel Timo Herranen.
