Belgium will lead an evaluation visit to Karelia Air Command

Belgium and Great-Britain will lead a multinational team conducting a confidence and security building evaluation visit conform to the OSCE 2011 Vienna Document in Finland 29 March 2017.

The three person team is lead by Major Gino Swyngedauw from Belgium. The Finnish liaison officers will be led by major Toni Ovaskainen from Air Force Command. The evaluation visit will be hosted by the commander of the Karelia Air Command, Colonel Jari Mikkonen.

The purpose of the visit is to evaluate whether the information on Karelia Air Command in Finland's 2011 exchange of military information corresponds to the information that will be given to them during the evaluation visit. The inspections are part of routine arms control
