How is transportation organized after the WMOC 2017 competition week?
After the WMOC 2017 competition week, on Friday 16th of June, organizer will offer the buss transportation back to Helsinki airport or to the Jukola Relay in Eno. Organizer of WMOC 2017 will not provide accommodation in Hamina after the departure on Friday 16th of June or in Helsinki after the Jukola weekend.
How is the accommodation arranged in Jukola Relay in Eno?
Many WMOC 2017 competitors will run on civilian teams and have own accommodation with their team. But for those who need the accommodation, WMOC 2017 will offer free unheated military tent accommodation with sleeping back and pad. For those who want, it is possible to participate for free on military teams. Team can be combined from one nationality or be mixed of different military teams. Tent accommodation from Friday to Sunday will not include any meals, last offered meal by WMOC 2017 is the breakfast on Friday 16th of June before departure to the airport or Jukola Relay.
The Jukola competition center is located right next to Eno village, where you can find supermarket and some restaurants. At the competition center, there are restaurant services during the weekend. It is normal to have a Jukola accommodation in a tent village of thousands of tents. Totally 340 unheated military team tents (each for a maximum of 16 people) will be provided by the organisers. These team tents are located no more than 1,000 metres from the competition center. The Finnish Defense Forces is a long time partner of Jukola Relay with many own teams participating. Those teams will have their accommodation at the military tents, which also civilian teams can rent during the weekend. Even it is June and early summertime in Finland, temperature can get low (0'C) during the night.
How we will get back to Helsinki airport after Jukola Relay in Eno?
The return bus transportation's on Sunday 18th of June will depart at 10:30am and 2:30pm. Driving time is six hours from Eno to Helsinki airport. Winner of the Jukola will arrive to the finish at 07:00am, mass start of not started legs will be at 9:00am and the price giving ceremony at 9:30am.
