FINCENT, together with the SHAPE Partnership Directorate in Mons, Belgium, organized the Introduction to NATO Military Partnerships Course (NATO IMP) 28 –30 October 2020.

This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, the annual residential course normally organized in Helsinki was not possible to conduct. Instead the course was conducted virtually. The online course afforded FINCENT the ability to more than double the amount of course participants that attended IMPC while provided first-rate learning online. The course brought together 68 NATO member and partner nation personnel from 36 different countries. They attended the course remotely, participating from as far as Norfolk, Virginia (USA) to Kabul, Afghanistan in real-time. Learners included civilians and military personnel from the ranks of MSgt to Admiral.

The aim of the NATO IMPC is intended to prepare NATO Staff personnel to more expertly support partnership programme requirements, for successful contribution to the NATO military partnership.
