The Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces, General Timo Kivinen, will attend a conference of the European Defence Agency to be held in Brussels on 28 November.
This year, the theme of the European Defence Agency’s annual high-level conference will be ”Taking European Defence Cooperation to the Next Level: Prospects for the Decade Ahead”. General Kivinen has been invited to give a presentation on the importance of the EDA to the EU’s security and defence dimension, and on the cooperation between Finland and the EDA. The event will be attended, among others, by the Defence ministers of EU member countries, senior government officials and representatives of defence administration and industry.
The Finnish Deputy Chief of Staff Strategy, Lieutenant General Kim Jäämeri, the Aide de Camp to the Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces, Major Annukka Ylivaara, as well as Finnish Defence Forces EU experts will also attend the conference.
