The Finnish Defence Forces International Centre
The Finnish Defence Forces International Centre FINCENT is nationally and internationally known and recognised forerunner, expert and active participant in crisis management education and training.
FINCENT organises military crisis management training for command and expert personnel in United Nations, NATO, African Union and European Union led crisis management operations. FINCENT also focuses on assuring the quality of training and supervising crisis management education criteria.
FINCENT has been qualified by the United Nations (UN Certificate of Training Recognition), NATO (NATO ACT Quality Assurance) and Finnish National Defence University (NDU Assurance of Training Quality). The crisis management training conducted by FINCENT has been granted the ISO 9001 quality certificate.
FINCENT was founded in 1969 as the first peacekeeping training centre in the world. At the beginning of 2015, FINCENT became a part of the National Defence University. FINCENT is located on the island of Santahamina in Helsinki.
