The Commander of the Finnish Defence Forces, General Jarmo Lindberg, will host the working visit of the Chief of the Australian Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin in Finland 18- 20 January 2017.
Air Chief Marshal Binskin will be familiarised with Finnish national defence and the military service system in Finland. Other topics on the agenda include developments in the security situation of Europe and of the Baltic Sea, and Finnish-Australian defence cooperation from a military perspective.
During the working visit Air Chief Marshal Binskin will be familiarised with the operations of the Finnish Defence Forces in Northern Finland with a visit to Lapland Air Command in Rovaniemi.
